防火门一般安装在高层、走廊、地下室、厂房等地方，不仅防火还防尘防风。不同等级的防火门一般设置在不同地方。

1、甲级防火门设置部位

在防火墙上开的门，应为甲级防火门；消防电梯井、机房与相邻电梯井、机房之间，应采用耐火极限不低于2.00h 的不燃烧体隔墙隔开；当在隔墙上开门时，应设置甲级防火门。疏散走道在防火分区处，应设置甲级常开防火门。

2、乙级防火门设置部位

通向室外楼梯的门宜采用乙级防火门，并应向室外开启；地下室、半地下室的楼梯间，在首层应采用耐火极限不低于2.00h 的不燃烧体隔墙与其它部位隔开并应直通室外，当必须在隔墙上开门时，应采用乙级防火门；地下室、半地下室与地上层不应共用楼梯间，当必须共用楼梯间时，在首层应采用耐火极限不低于2.00h 的不燃烧体隔墙和乙级防火门将地下、半地下部分与地上部分的连通部位完全隔开，并应有明显标志。
